Follow the Light Within
When I feel troubled, I find solace in going within. In quiet moments, when I close my eyes and bring my awareness deep into the center of my body, I feel a luminous presence, a glow of light, a pure vibrational frequency that is the essence of who I am. It is always there, gently radiating warmth, wisdom and loving kindness. In its embrace, I can rest with peace, knowing that all of life is unfolding exactly as it is intended.
Humanity is undergoing a profound change. The world around us feels increasingly turbulent, filled with uncertainty, polarization, and fear. It is easy to be swept away by external narratives, losing oneself in a sea of noise, feeling disoriented from the ups and downs of collective sentiment.
It is precisely in moments like these that your inner light becomes the most reliable and, perhaps the only, trustworthy guide. This light is not altered by external circumstances; it does not flicker in the face of fear. It is like an internal GPS, sensing North without ambiguity, and capable of navigating with confidence and resilience. If you let go of the control of the mind, trust and follow the inner guidance, you can relax and observe with more clarity.
This inner light has many names—spirit, soul, higher self, Divine Spark, consciousness. No matter what you call it, it is the most authentic expression of your being. It is also the true meaning of your Higher Purpose. Many of us spend years searching for purpose as if it is some external target to aim for. Yet true purpose is not found outside. When you are illuminated from within, you experience coherence and resonance with your core frequency. Every action, decision, and contribution you make flows organically from that source of truth. In this state, purpose is not something you “do”, but rather a natural state of “being”. There is no need to search for purpose any more. You are already embodying it.
You are born with this light. Yet the older you get the more obscure it may become. From childhood, you are shaped by societal expectations, family beliefs, religious dogmas, and cultural narratives that tell you who you should be. Over time, these external imprints form a dense identity, one that often feels separate from your true nature. You may be chasing achievements, approval, and belonging, all while feeling a quiet dissonance within. The further you stray from your essence, the more disconnected and unfulfilled you become.
Reclaiming your inner light requires shedding these layers, peeling away everything that does not serve you any more. It is a process of unveiling—remembering who you were before the world told you who you should be. As you remove these veils, your inner radiance naturally shines through.
This process does not require monumental effort, but does require willingness to go within, with a lot of patience. Mindfulness practice is a pathway to reconnecting with your light. Through meditation, time alone in nature, deep contemplation, or even a simple pause in the midst of busy daily life, you can create a space to invite the light in, for a cup of tea. Slowly, you start to remember. You return home.
As you follow this light, something profound gradually occurs. Your intentions and actions begin to align with the deepest truth of who you are. You no longer ask, “What is my purpose?” Instead, you become the living expression of it. You begin to experience more harmony inside and less conflict or struggle. When you reach this state of internal coherence, you will notice that the external reality starts to reflect that too, through correspondences and synchronicities. You change the world by changing yourself. You serve the whole simply by being your true self, allowing your unique gifts to radiate into the world, and becoming beacons for others.
Isn’t this how we, together, journey through the unknown? Isn’t this how we, collectively, illuminate the path in the sea of darkness?
